Submission/Guidelines

SUBMITTING AN ENTRY:

The West Branch Film Festival is devoted to "family-friendly" entertainment.  All materials must be deemed suitable for child viewing, ages 14 and under.  Please read our  Eligibiltiy Policy and Terms and Conditions before submitting your production.  All submissions will be pre-screened to determine that the material is appropriate for the purpose in which it is intended. The West Branch Film Festival will not pay screening fees, and reserves the right to deny or reject any submission that does not meet the WBFF Submission Guidelines.

All entries must be submitted to the West Branch Film Festival.  Entries are requested prior to June 01, 2011, and must be received in our offices no later than June 17, 2011.  The WBFF is not obligated to review any submissions that arrive after the June 17, 2011 deadline.

All transportation costs are the sole responsibility of the submitter.

All entries must be accompanied with the following materials. (Individuals wishing to submit multiple entries can do so, but each production must be submitted seperately and be accompanied with the following materials).

  1. Completed and signed 2011 Submission Form.  Download Submission Form here.
  2. Full length DVD of entry (2 copies) clearly labeled with title of production. DVD’s must be formatted for Multi-zone, or Zone 1 – North America. (Multiple entries on a single DVD are not advised, and may result in rejection of the productions submitted).
  3. Entry fee of $25.00 (All entry fees will be charged in US dollars. US Affiliated Bank Checks and International Money Orders need to be made payable to WBCFF with the title of production recorded on payment).
  4. Production information, including cast and credits.
  5. Director’s filmography/videography, including years of production.
  6. Brief biographies of Director, Producer, and principal actors/participants.
  7. Statement of filmmaking/video philosophy from the Director for inclusion in the WBCFF Program. (Statement should address the reasons for which the filmmaker/video producer has chosen to make films/videos for children, the impact the Director feels the film/video has on children’s lives, and why he/she chose to address the topic(s) presented in the production).
  8. Posters, press book, or other promotional materials (if available).
